what community means here

A community is not only the people who border a plot of land. It also includes the people priced out, lodging informally, living insecurely, in HMOs or those trying to remain close to family, work and support networks in BS5.

The evidence before the Council shows a wider local community of BS5 renters, lodgers, former lodgers, family members and local workers who may benefit directly from smaller, affordable, self-contained homes. Their need is less visible than a boundary objection, but it is no less real.

What this is

St Jude's Forum is a community-run website for people who live in and around the neighbourhood. You can:

Who runs it

It's run by a handful of local volunteers — neighbours, not a company or a marketing list. It is not an official Bristol City Council channel, and it isn't affiliated with any political party or business. There's no advertising and nothing is for sale here.

A couple of volunteer moderators keep an eye on new posts. Everything you submit goes through a quick, friendly review before it appears, so the place stays kind and on-topic.

Your privacy

We ask for as little as possible, and we're plain about what we do with it.

Sign-in links expire after 10 minutes and can only be used once.
