How we got here, and what's next

  1. Through 2025

    How we got here

First street meeting in someone's front garden, two evening walking surveys, and a sit-down with highways and parks. The plan was changed where it needed to be.

  2. Now — May '26

    Open questions

Bench positions, tree species, and how we share the planter watering rota. Have a view? Drop it in the forum.

  3. Summer '26

    First works

Tree pits dug, planters built, benches arrived. A weekend party to mark the start.

  4. Autumn '26

    Trees in the ground

The proper planting window. Volunteers welcome — gloves and tea provided.

What neighbours have said

"What I want most is a bench. Somewhere to stop with the shopping, somewhere my dad can sit when he visits."

— a resident, number 14

"Trees would change the feel of the street more than any of the signs. They'd quiet it."

— a resident, north end

"Whatever we do, please let's do something. We've been talking about it for years."

— a resident, top of the street
